Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro and provides the classic photographs of wildlife set to the backdrop of this snow-capped mountain. This park has some of the highest densities and diversity of wildlife in Africa. Amboseli is best known for its abundant and approachable elephants. Other animals found in Amboseli include: giraffe, gerenuk, kudu, oryx, buffalo, cheetah, impala, lion, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthog, zebra and baboon.
Tortilis Camp is a charming, rustic tented camp, shaded by a natural forest of Acacia Tortilis thorn trees after which the camp is named. The trees and shrubs bustle with bird life and the views seem endless across the plains to Kilimanjaro. Each tent is raised up on a wooden deck and features en suite facilities with pressurized hot showers and flush toilets.

Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve is situated north of Mount Kenya and on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephant, lion, giraffe and zebra from the surrounding plains. This is an excellent reserve of scrub desert, thornbush, riverine forest and swamps along the river.
Larsens Camp is bordered on one side by the Uaso Nyiro River. On the other three sides you’ll find nothing but pristine nature. Each of the sleeping tents stands on a plinth of natural stone and all have en suite bathrooms with flushing toilets, hot water and electricity.

Masai Mara Game Reserve
Size: 590 square miles
Accessible by 4x4 or by scheduled flight from Nairobi
Lodging: Governors Camp, 37 permanent tents
Activities: game drives (safaris), escorted bush walks, visit a Masai village, hot air balloon safaris

Masai Mara Game Reserve
Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best known and popular reserves in the whole of Africa and undoubtedly the finest wildlife area in Kenya. Seasoned safari travelers, travel writers, documentary makers and researchers often admit that the Masai Mara is one of their favorite places. All of the big five game is here: elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino. Other commonly sighted species include: cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, Thompson’s gazelle, Defassa waterbuck, eland, Masai giraffe and topi. The Masai Mara is home to over one hundred species of mammals and more than 450 species of birds.
Governors Camp nestles in the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, its waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile. Some of the 37 tents line the riverbank, with uninterrupted views over the Mara River; others have views across the sweeping plains. Everything is under canvas and all tents have en suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushing toilets.
